Maghera Roots is a Vintage Display & Exhibition of farming life celebrating and recording farming life around the Maghera and district area in the mid 20th century. James Armour’s Heritage Company has taken a number of wise older residents from our area and interviewed them and then wonderfully preserved their memories for future generations. This kind of necessary preservation of our past cannot be underestimated and is all too frequently being lost. So it gives us great pleasure to recommend this exhibition and we hope that if you can you’ll all go along and learn about this area’s past. The event is being launched at 12 noon on the 30th June by Barclay Bell the President of the Ulster Farmer’s Union.
The event is FREE and open to all. The event is being held in Maghera Presbyterian Church Hall today Friday the 30th June and tomorrow Saturday the 1st of July 2017 from 10am to 4pm (both days). So why not come along and view the Vintage Display & Exhibition of farming life?
